I have a Airhawk I haven't tried yet. I've used in on long trips just for a change of butt-ary. Helps a'lot and I may have to depend on it. By anybody's standard - seat as is better than some seats I have had. And the bike is smoother than anything except my use to have Goldwing. I have had several bikes in 45 years of motorcycles and this comes in 2nd as the most comfortable.

OP you are going to be very happy with your decision - I think.

Coho
Mind my asking about what size you are?

I'm enormous. Women faint and men turn green with envy at the mere mention of it...

Oh, hold on, I misunderstood.  I'm 5' 10" and about 180-190# depending on the day. Short legs.

Now I forgot why I ask you what size you are.
Screwed up my train of thought.

Coho are you trolling? I'm very straight.  Twofinger
Besides I'm too old for you if I wasn't.

Looks like I am going to try the Corbin. A guy I emailed about one replied and said his wife put it in the mail. Gave me a tracking number and told me to send money.

OP - I'm sorry about derailing your thread. Hope we can meet and talk about our bikes soon. I'll buy you a beer or Gatorade and we will talk about how wonderful our bikes are.

Regarding seats, I found the seat on my R1150R would allow me about 200 miles or so before I got very uncomfortable pressure points in my butt. I was able to ride through the discomfort, but really it cramped my enjoyment on longer rides.

A few years ago, while in Milwaukee for the BMW MOA national rally, I looked around for solutions and picked up an Airhawk seat cushion. Made the ride home eminently more comfortable.

Now whenever I go on a longer ride, I just plop the Airhawk down on my saddle and I'm good to go. I just finished a 1,300 ride mile spread out over a few days and my butt gave me no problems until the last couple of hours on the last day (nine hours in the saddle, and that was more related to me wearing boxers that day since I forgot to do laundry...).

What I liked about this solution was that I didn't have to risk buying a custom-made seat that might not fit my rear correctly -- if the Airhawk hadn't worked, I was reasonably certain I could unload it for close to what I paid for it to anyone who owned a motorcycle. Conversely, a custom-made seat that didn't fit could only be sold to someone who owned the same model bike as me.

Just a suggestion....

And a good one at that.  I recall hours 2-4.5 on  the ride home from picking up the R1150R I had a few years ago being a bit uncomfortable.  I remember that being a pretty common knock on the R.

I'm not equipped for road tripping yet so I'll be bringing her home on Thursday in tighty whities.

No worries.  Good conversation is always welcome.  I'm learning a lot from it all.  I'll take you up on the cold one when my travels take me the southern route.

Besides sweating taking on a bit of debt I am looking forward to bringing this one home more than just about any other bike.  Hope I'm not setting myself up...

The shop I'm buying from will consign the ZRX for a reasonable fee so all I have to do is ride mine up, drop it off, and ride the new one home.  Actually this will be the third time I've done this consignment drop off ride new to  me home thing.  All the shops I've consigned with in the past no longer do this.  Too bad.  I really like the convenience of not having to advertise and sit around waiting for people to show up and low ball you - if they bother to show up that is.  I really hate selling stuff.
