Every day is Ride to Work Day

Ignore
« on: September 26, 2011, 07:14:38 PM »

This morning was the first day since summer arrived in late July that we had a really wet morning commute.  So there I was, sitting in the parking lot that is Interstate-5 and all of a sudden felt water soak my work slacks.  It was like someone spilled a glass of water on the outside of my knee.

It seems the liner of my Olympia pants developed a leak, after two satisfactory seasons.  I'm not sure what instigated it (and just three months before I planned on ordering a suit, too!).

Perhaps--that might see me through the next three months.  It was wet this morning, even for here.

Die hards seen:  two Harleys, one Tiger, one FZ6 (operator in jeans  Crazy), one Multistrada  Thumbsup, some Suzuki dual-sport and a Vespa.

Lol  I'm hoping to try out my Nikwax app. soon. We'll see how it does with my Fieldsheer gear that I've been dissapointed with so far.

I recently did the full Nikwax treatment on my stuff (in part, due to DD's testamonials). So far it has worked better than expected. I haven't been able to get caught in a rain despite my multiple attempts.  Lol I hope it works for snow.  Crazy

Running the drill with the liner today, rain predicted tomorrow and all week.

In spite of the late start to the summer, I think I've worn leathers more this year than any other.

At least you aren't dissapointed in an aerostich suit. I don't think i have a piece of velcro or zipper that still works right (granted its a very well worn suit with a ton of  miles on it) but for the price I expect more
