Sheri and I are on a trip covering parts of Oregon and Washington.  We're reallying enjoying our trip so far.

Saturday, we'll have time to see downtown Portland and have dinner that evening.

What recommendations would you have for us?  Any dinner recommendations?  Any places we should visit?

Thanks.

the locals might roll their eyes but I love McMenamins Kennedy School or Edgefield. Relaxed dining in a very cool environment. Portland has a lot to offer. Great city.

+1000.  This place is outstanding. Stay there if you can get a room. And then indulge in some of the best micro-brews ever!

If you're going to just one McMenamin's, it should really be The Kennedy School or Edgefield. The others are nice but it's the difference between a quirky restaurant and a strolling, wonderous experience.  =)

YES,  and the Edgefield also has rooms; don't know the other does or not.

Brian, your Aerostitch looks kinda funny on the 1098. I love that you went from the Honda to a Duc, though. Damn practicality, full speed ahead! Smile

I'll return to practical someday, but not yet.  I figured my back and knees would only let me own a Ducati sportbike for a finite window of time.  And golly, after I saw it, I wanted it.

On topic, glad the trip worked out.  Love Powell's too, saw that, Voodoo, and the Chinese garden near the train station on my last visit.  Great food trucks, too.
