My old Alpinestars are just about done, and I was looking at the Adventure Rains from Sidi. They look awesome. Anyone using them? If so, how do they hold up?

They are very popular on ADVrider.  Good for normal "GS" riding, whatever that is.  What I mean is you might spend 70% of your time on the road and 30% offroad, but not single track.  I went the next step and got the Sidi Crossfires but they are dedicated offroad boots.  I certainly see the appeal of the Sidi Adventure Rains.  I loooove the looks of Forma Adventures.

My Crossfires were $500.  Worth every penny.

As someone mentioned on another thread.

With helmets, as the $ pile up all you get is more comfort and feature, not more protection.

With boots, the more you spend the more protection you get (for the most part).

Your feet hit the dirt/pavement more than any other part of the body,  there's rocks, stick, junk all over the road.

Good boots are worth it.

I've got Alpinstar Scouts.    They've already paid for themselves by preventing a broken ankle during an off road crash.
