Seems like kind of a dumb move.

Unless KTM's new bike can compete.  It's an unknown.  I wonder if they're going up in cc's next year?

Yep, KTM's going to use a 450 next year.

Interesting move. Dungey back with DeCoster. That must have been a big part of the decision.

I just hope SX/MX is as good next year as it was in 2011. Great seasons in both disciplines.

Mike Alesi rode the 450 KTM in the outdoor season this year, he finished 5th in points, Andrew Short rode the 350 and finished 8th. both of them missed rounds due to injury. With Dungy aboard the KTM should kick butt, not to mention Roger Decoster left Suzuki to go to KTM last year, KTM is definitly serious.  Bigok

With Dungey they certainly have a good chance now.

Suzuki must not be treating its teams very well. Lots of champions and good people have left over the past 10 years. but other teams have their fall-out too. By the sounds of it, few of these guys have contracts for more than 2 years, or maybe not more than 1 year.

I didn't realize Alessi was on the 450 this year.  I know the Jagermeister KTM was a 350 in 2010 and didn't realize they tried the larger bike this past season.   Embarassment
