Deal of the day - Battery maintainer for $16.99

This is a pretty good price on a battery maintainer. I have one very similar to this branded by Schumaker of which I have one and like. For $16.99 i think it is a good deal.

Edited to add: a lot of the reviews are pretty negative, so maybe a buyer beware, but it does supposedly have a three year warranty. I will probably go ahead and risk it for a second one.

Harbor Freight often has them for $5.

I have had the Sears unit for 3 years.  Has 3 different connections.
2 amp max charge rate.    I paid $30 and liked it enough to get another as a gift.

I had got a Harbor Freight version of the battery tender and it wouldn't charge my mostly discharged battery at the time.
Then got the Sears unit.  It maintains my M/C batteries (winter) and re-charged a largely discharged one ... so it is more versatile for me.

Yep tried that one Once  Boiled the battery dry then let the smoke out of the "maintainer"  
If you need a charger or maintainer buy a good one once.  Battery Tender makes a few different sized ones, and they do work well.

I agree, never had luck with the HF one.  Check Amazon for the Batter Tender Jr.  Usually under $25 with free shipping.  No experience with the Sears model though. Good price.
