Planning out routes for my trip in a few weeks, and one of the roads that looks pretty interesting is Tuni Gap Road, that runs down to Hayesville, NC. It seems some of the roads off it are pretty rough, but does anyone have some information on what to expect on Tuni Gap Road itself? Thanks in advance.

Is that about the worst of it? If so, definitely not missing that one. Thanks.

Hit this road today, and I must say, if I'm going to keep riding like this, I've got to get tires better suited for it. Especially when it rained the night before.

Rode that road a couple years ago with some other ST.Ners...in the rain...on my FJR. It was sketchy, but passable. Only had 2 creek crossings that day.

"Sketchy but passable" pretty well describes it. Only part that had me worried was a pretty long hill that I had to go up.

Looks like in your video and YD's pic that the gravel is fairly fresh. That was all packed down and smooth when I hit it. Not sure if that helped or hindered. No loose gravel to move around, but also nothing for the tires to bite in to.
