Need a place walking distance to resturants and bars.

Don't need to be bone cheap since we are splitting 3 ways.

Thanks!!!!

A 3-way in the 'Dacks and you're worried about where you're gonna eat?

You may want to avoid the China City restaraunt on Main st in Lake Placid unless your starving and everything else is closed.  It's dark, dingy and dumpy, food is so so and the waitress brought out the soup in what looked like metal dog bowls. We kept looking for the Petco stickers on the bottom. Service was real slow with a waitress that could care less that they had customers. I stopped there with a friend while picking up a bike in the area and just about walked out when my friend was eating his hot and sour soup and his face went white. He pulled something out of his soup that looked like a half cooked cockroach and asked me what I thought it was.  The waitress came over and said it was part of a plant but he couldn't eat any more of it. Maybe we caught them on a bad day but I know I won't go back when i'm in the area.

JETSET beat me to it!  I stayed at Art Devlins a few years ago.  The rooms are nice and it's not a long walk to the bars and restaurants.

I've stayed here once and would do so again. I liked it.

there is a trolley that runs out to towards the airport.  so all the hotels entering town on 73 are fair game.  make sure to spend some time at Lake Placid Brewpub.  love that Ubu Ale!

I ended up staying at Lake View Motel.  It was right on the water and better than i expected for $139.  Big room and we needed it, to roll in a cot and dry out 3 guys gear.

I made it to the brew pub.  Lots of Ubu ale was consumed.  Food wasn't bad either.  Cold night though...got down to 39.
