(I also posted this over in TX OK region)
Was there a negative issue the last time it was in Arkansas? Or just probing to see what location would attract the most riders?
My 02 is that Arkansas has features you cant find anywhere else....
Miles of consistently twisty roads and rural. Yes WV, NC etc... have some better roads and lots more of them, but the reduced speed limits, high traffic volumes and a town/community ever few miles takes a bit away. ( I still go whenever I can cause its still worth the time)
If your looking for turn out and the social aspect, Arkansas may not be the best choice. I've met and rode with a lot of guys and gals on this board over the years and gotten a few in trouble (sorry about that). My ideal of a great ST get together involves more hours and miles of twisty riding than most want to do.
I've also rode with just about every kind of sport group FZ1, CBR, Gixxers, ST's, Connies etc....all here in Arkansas, and typically (not everyone) from ST.N are much more on the social side of riding. Not a thing wrong with that, either!
So for me...if the goal of ST.N National is to have an "All Day" ride your but off! Arkansas cant be beat, and I for one would step up and help coordinate a few things.
If the ST.N National wants to be more of a get together to meet, greet, drink a few beers, ride a bit theres probably a better location that would attract more members.

I agree wholeheartedly that if it is more of a social meet and greet, there are places better suited. But I hope the plan is that a bunch of you loons want to come to come to Central Arkansas and ride the twisties till you can't take any more. BTW, if anybody can get free tomorrow, I will be in the Push Mtn. Area all day, getting familiar with that area. PM me if you are able to make it.

I attended the first national meet held in Arkansas and that's what we did..rode all day and loved it.
I would most likely attend again.

we pretty much ride all day everywhere we go (although we generally stay close to the speed limit.) we like the social aspect of it. otherwise, we would just ride alone as usual. if it's in arkansas, we'll be there.

Haven't been there, but from what I have read and heard, Hot Springs area is very family friendly, and is a good jumping off point to lots of good riding. Hotels and restaurants aplenty as well. Might be an area to consider? I voted a big yes for Arkansas.....love going to new places!

I was the thinking that if anyone wanted to bring along significant other and/kids, it might be nice for those that are not riding, to have something to do. As for me....all my kids are old enough to drink right along with me, and my son is much faster than I will ever be......as long as I can find a few cold ones in the evening, I'm OK.

That's really cool, actually. My dad, brother and I all ride. Dad has tons of bikes but spends his time in WV. Brother lives in Philly and rides an R6. We really need to figure out a way to do a road trip.

Im going to see if I can get a 2 day pass for the Eureka Springs Trolley. We will most likely base out of the Best Western and that hotel happens to be a stop on the route. The trolley runs till 8 pm which is kinda early but maybe we can get them to run later.

concours owners group is going to eureka springs in 2012 for the national rally,
a bit better for the socializing than other places in the area plus great roads that arent traffic filled or LEO infested.
I can go twice in one year, no problem, have tent will travel.
