Anyone have experience with
this
?
I am looking into some options that don't require hundreds of dollars. This seems to work with many different models.

I used a Ram AquaBox for my Garmin 1490T, it's worked great and no water inside of it. Check out the write-up I did for this on the BMW forums;
http://www.bmwbmw.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=52&t=17795
I hope this helps.

The cheap route would be a plastic baggie when the rain starts.

No experience with the linked item. However, like Streetdoc, I have used an Aqua Box for an iPod previously and it worked great.

I have and like the Arkon case. Fits a Nuvi 1690 quite well, but the GPS does sit slightly tipped when the power cord is used. I have run it throuh torrential rain and the unit stays dry.
Here it is in use. This was a 150 or so mile trip through everything from mist to pouring rain and it kept the GPS completely dry.

My Arkon case came out of the mount while tooling along about 85 mph. Good thing my gps/iphone was tethered by the power cord. Good customer service at MountGuys....they let me return it for a full refund.

Might have just gotten a bad one. Mine has not come loose at all. One thing I did do, was discard the included bar clamp and mount the ball portion in my RAM mount. It is slight smaller in diameter than a RAM ball, but fits just fine.

I have an Aquabox from gpscity and it works great. No water at all. Attaches directly to the RAM ball mounts.

I have an Aquabox too. Works good with my Garmin 765, I just wish I could use it with my phone, and only need one device. The screen on my phone is unresponsive when it is in the box. I just listened to last week's pace podcast, and James tried the Aquabox with his iphone. He said touches worked, but swipes don't. I will try mine again with just touches. I gave up last time when swiping to unlock didn't work.
