I downloaded the iOS 5 on iTunes yesterday, after upgrading iTunes.  This morning I upgraded my iPhone 4 to iOS 5.

Over my lunchtime walk I was listening to the iPod like usual but then the music stopped playing.  It happened after fast-forwarding a few songs.  Even though it shows that it is playing, the music can't be heard.  Sometimes the play button does not respond either.  After rebooting the music will play again, but then stop playing after a few fast-forward advances.

I've spent the last while pleading with Google for some answers but haven't gotten the magic result.  Do I have to do a whole restore on this thing?  BTW - I have it set to manually manage music, if that matters.

What a PITA!  Angry3

Maybe you should trade it in for a Blackberry.

I'm hearing a bunch of complaints today; coworkers, people in the deli, etc, regarding the update.

Yes I know - iWhine!  Anyway it's all working fine now and I didn't even have to make a reservation and go to the Genius Bar.  For fun I checked and the next available iphone reservation is four days away on the 17th!  Lol

While on the topic of IOS5 bugs.  My wife ended with several multiple entries  in her Contacts on both her 3GS and Ipad. Is there anyway to nuke the multiples easily?  Instead one at a time?

I'm not sure but it may have to do with having the iCloud sync turned on.  I had doubles in my calendar be because I had synced with the cloud and it was set to display both PC and cloud calendars.  When i set up my cloud I told it to sync contacts so now if I turn off cloud contacts, I don't have any.

My IOS 5 went perfectly the first time, zero glitches.

I like the onboard photo editing and the nicer notifications.

Everything went well for me. Did you enable and back up via iCloud?

No, only for a few items.

Worked fine for my iPhone, my wife's iPhone and my iPad. I really like the new notifications, the iMessages and real tabbed browsing on the iPad. I haven't done much with iCloud yet, but with multiple devices in the family, it'll come in handy.

+1 (3GS) for the 3 days I used it before my 4S arrived.

But then I did an "as new" pairing with iTunes for the updates 3GS and reloaded stuff afterwards.  Did the same thing with the 4S. Siri works just like it did in the demos!

Time like this makes me glad I'm running a hacked 3GS.  I can't go to a newer OS until I know my hack (which lets me use a pre-paid account) is compatible with it.  I'm still on 4.3.3.  Cool
