The weather looks good for a 3 day ride from Toronto down to Nashville. I am thinking of heading to Pa through NY, but am stumped for a route from anywhere on Pa 219 to Nashville. Ohio/West Va./Kentucky??????
Suggestions appreciated.

Any back roads route through WV and Eastern KY would be a good choice

How much time do you have to play around? I'd think about stopping in to Mammoth Caves. From there it depends on if you want to head through town, or avoid it as much as possible, Are you going to Nashville, or just the general area? Watertown is not far away and has some excellent roads.

Coming through NY and heading fairly directly to Nashville you will encounter many incredible roads in SE Ohio and KY. Many of the best roads are so twistie that it's tough to make much headway in a limited amount of time. You might just try winging it--choose your specific routes as you go, in part based on your time limitations.

Have a good trip,

Thanks Folks,

I plan to leave Saturday and will just meander down over 3 days, only planning about 5-600kms a day so headway shouldn't be a problem. Looking forward to seeing some new places.

Safely settled into Nashville, hoping to be a major star by the weekend.

Great ride down, though perhaps a little cool for the first day and a half, and yesterday morning in Kentucky. Just followed my whims most of the way, made a few mistakes and had some incredible luck, in other words sport touring at its best.

The 119 from Charleston WVa to the Cumberland Gap, aka The Kingdom Come Parkway ( ? ) a great ride!

Observation: Man it is tough to find maps at gas stations these days.

I am leaving my bike here for the winter and am hoping to come back for a winter tour, and again in the spring for my return trip which will include the obligatory visit to Deal's Gap.
