7 day forecast in my area.... nothing below 38*.   Banana

Weather gods have been good to us in the NE this year. Beautiful day today, crisp, cool, dry...nice day to ride.  Thumbsup
\
That said, my nerves got tested a bit on the Connie last night. Bailed out of work and ran home through a light snow squall,
by the time I was a couple miles from home there were tire tracks forming on the road and it was coming down pretty good.
Crispy snowflakes sting on a cold face!!!

No pictures as I have been too busy riding.  Bigsmile

I've put about 1200 miles on my 05 Sprint from 01-01-12 to today. Most of it has been commuting from southern NH to Mass. Little to no salt or sand on the roads.

As always, just watch out for the cagers driving their phone booths. >(

Ride safe.

Did some tagging this morning - http://www.sport-touring.net/forums/index.php/topic,36038.1080.html

The tag was at the Indian River Bridge that just opened (partially) for use.

On previous rides I was not the only non-cruiser/touring bike.

I also want to say this. I will give the HD crowd credit. When a charity run or something like this (Honoring a Fallen Hero) comes up they show up in force.  I do not refer to them as Pirates when they are doing the

There is not one ounce of "why are you not riding a HD" at these escort rides. In fact, more than a couple I spoke to asked if the Bandit was as fun as it looked.  All makes and models are welcome. It is all about showing respect to the Fallen Hero.

The group also does Honor/Flag lines at Funerals to provide a barrier between the family and douchebags like the westboro church iditots.   At that point it kinda helps to look like nasty bikers!

Hey 02tac,

Thanks for the pics and the report about the Patriot Guard Riders. I just want to affirm what you have reported. One of my CSBA chapter members is a Patriot Guard Rider, he is in his 70's and rides a Piaggio Scooter. He has never reported any guff from H-D folk and he rides huge mileage numbers. As far as other H-D riders, whenever I have been to veteran's events or those where one club is supporting another I have seen strong determination and toughness from these riders. There's probably about half of those that ride the bar and shield that don't wave and give us guff'; the rest are good folk who love to ride and put in the miles. Stay safe all,

P.S. yes I did ride to work today.  Smile

No pics but I did get in about 160 miles going to and from my MSF Professional Development Workshop.  I also managed to get out early enough to beat the Amish buggies onto the road.

Dropped off some stuff to the Mrs at work.  Then went on a nice 90 ride around some local farm roads after practicing some u-turns and quick stops at the old MSF range.
