Cycle Pro in Orlando FL has reported dyno numbers of 190+ hp SAE to the rear wheel. That's 20 more than the Gen2 Busa makes average - damn you Kawi!  Lol

Apparently Kawi brought the bike to them before the dealer show to get some numbers. Torque was 110+ Lbs, and apparently also did not take it to the limiter, that was just up to 10k RPM

So with some bolt on mods, we're looking at 200 RWHP easy.

Don't get me wrong, the one and only reason I would replace my Sprint with another bike is for the smooth power of a K1300S / Busa / ZX14.

I love the idea of more power.  The numbers are just getting a bit insane, particularly if they are keeping the speed limited to that 186 number.

That can overridden easily with ECU edits. Although I've never hit 186 myself, so no need for me. 186 is fast enough.

Hmmm...fuel-efficiency-robbing?  At a rough average of 85 mph I get about 45 mpg on the highway, and easily 230 miles to reserve light blinking.  If I slow down to a rough average of 65 I can get over 50 mpg.  The engine is loafing at highway speed in 6th gear.  I think that's pretty fuel efficient.  Now of course when I go to Plaid Speed, that number drops precipitously, but ask anyone riding a big bore and they'll tell ya it ain't about the gas mileage when they grab a handful of go handle.  Inlove

5.8 gallons, with like 5.5 or 5.6 or so of that usable.  The tank design places the fuel pump in the lowest spot under the seat and there is very little gas below the pump level.  My best mileage was about 51 mpg rolling at 65/70.  I got 265 miles and a fill up of 5.2 gallons.  I probably could have pushed it more, but I was scared to run out of gas in the middle of nowhere, so I filled up at the next station I came to.  My reserve light comes on with about .8 gallons left.  At 80/85 I'm usually in the 42 to 45 mpg range, depending on how many "spirited" sections I hit.  I never get less than 200 miles to reserve.  I'm just not very daring with pushing my reserve.  One day I'll tie on a gas can and ride it til she dies just to see what I could max out at.  That'll be a nice day ride! Have to edit to say if I'm in serious twisties, using a LOT of compression braking and banging it out of the corners, I'm usually in the 160 to 180 mile range to reserve.  That puts me in the 32 to 36 mpg range, so I HAVE gotten less than 200 to reserve, but not in straight highway riding.  Unless there are crazy headwinds or other issues, I have no problem hitting 200 to reserve consistently on the highway.

I had the wife talked into buying me one, then I checked out the insurance.  We pay cash for our toys usually, so i would not need full coverage insurance, but I can't see having a brand new bike with out full coverage insurance.  It would be a second bike for me as I put the miles to the c14 and use the hard bags all the time.  So it is hard for me to justify that big insurance bill for a couple rides a month in the Michigan riding season that I would ride the bike.   So f it.
