Is there a point to this thread? Probably not. But if you want something warm and fuzzy (and fairly well water-repellent) around your neck this winter, I can't recommend a Turtle Fur product highly enough  Thumbsup

Thanks for clarifying you wear Turtle Fur neck gaiter while riding.  The above quoted statement led me to believe this was for non-riding usage during winter (possibly snowy conditions).

As a baldy I do have to remember to wear them inside-out, else when I show up for work in the morning I've still got a 'seam' running down my head for quite some time that raises eyebrows during meetings and in the elevator.

I can appreciate that - the turtle fur comes off of the next warmer and sticks to the stubble on my face making me look like I have a ridiculous fake beard randomly stuck to my neck and chin.  Get some funny looks upon arrival.

Just tell them you got into a fight with a cotton-candy machine. Or tried to have sex with one. Or something.

Finland. They are an endangered species. There were only 6 left in the world, but now that DD bought TWO neckwarmers, there are only four turtles left, and they are all males.

They are only in captivity, once naked they are released into the wild.

no, they are not shaved, they are skinned. nothing left but the bony shell, that's why they move so slow, they are depressed...

I couldnt get through a winter without one. I have one that I wear at work in the winter and another for the bike. Great stuff. Mine are not as soft as they used to be either. May be time for some new ones. They feel sooooo nice when new.   Inlove

And then at the counter, already pleased with my savings, I had the cashier check my REI balance. $60+ "Would you like to use that today?" Damn right I do!

OH I love when that happens!

I've got a Turtle Fur watch cap that I wear all winter long - no natural head covering, and wool makes me forehead break out. I also have a Turtle Fur balaclava that I wear when it is really cold. Thinsulate top, and the bottom half it the actual Turtle Fur stuff. Way warm and comfy.
