Good thing we already stocked up on Halloween candy...that should keep us alive for the duration if we get snowed in and can't leave the house...so far however in the 15 years we've lived here and other "blizzards" that has been....um....never.

Plenty of empty shelves at the liquor store tonight... but Halloween weekend probably played a role.

According to Beth, stopping at the Wegmans on the way home was a total suicide mission. Snowpocalypse combined with a home PSU football game is not a good combination.

Yikes! Yes, that is a deadly joint attack on your town. Keep your head low and the beer flowing!

For sure I won't be riding anywhere tomorrow. [Wife just popped in; saw STN up on the screen & asked where I was going tomorrow.]
Like that was a real possibility.
[Well, I was sort of thining about it earlier today.]
I've got 5+ large branches down in the yard already. Nothing impacting the house because I wisely pruned back in the spring.
But I can hear branches popping all over the neighborhood. Only thing I'm going to be gassing tomorrow is my chain saw.
Fortunately, we still have power.

I'm relieved that this wasn't a Bob-style message.

Here in the lee of Lake Ontario the sun is shining. It doesn't seem right somehow. I did get the snowblower carb swapped out though, just in case.

Yay! Snowpocalypse 1 was a bust. A few heavy wet inches, roads dry today.
There were some tree limbs down and a large area without power for a couple hours.
But it was near freezing and a misty morning today so I was damn sure to back off the loud handle. This is the
kind of mornings the roads can slick up in spots. Wet leaf mush in spots doesn't help any either.

Just a few miles from me got over two feet of snow.
We didn't, glad to say.

Bust for you maybe.
59% of CT is without power. People are in fist fights over gasoline. (Damn wish I could find the news article...)

What kind of crazy weather do we have here??
I did lose power for about 50 hours, but I'm glad it's back on. I just put down on a generator I ordered from a local place. It should be here in 2-3 weeks and then your inclimate weather will be over. Knowing me, it will sit unused for the rest of winter.
No serious damage though just inconvienence.

My fish all died :-(
Guess 53° is too cold for them. Hoping they are just winterized and pop back alive when we get power. Have them all on a generator, but the heaters just cant keep up.
