Longest ride was three days this year  Sad   I knew it was gonna be a quiet year for me BUT I also realize next year will be a better year for riding. Hopefully a week long trip with a couple long weekenders thrown in for good measure. Gonna break the Thrux in good  Thumbsup

1 actual trip this year - to Utah, for good riding and scenery - 1600ish miles

1 kinda trip to the LOE1000 rally, was to participate in an endurance rally, but still enjoyed the scenery and riding, and a day of resting/BSing at the motel before and after the event. 2300ish mile weekend

1 BBG 1500- where I did 1551 miles in 23 hours - It covered two days, so not sure if that counts for a multi day ride  Lol

+ one SS1k (1016 miles) and a bunch of other long day rides just for fun and scenery

Virtually no Sunday rides with my buds which used to be nearly every weekend in years past.  Lots of trackdays and a few race weekends.  Only two good trips, one to Mid-Ohio for a trackday but I rode there and took a very scenic route back through WV.  The other with the GF on a 5 day Deal's Gap, Snake, and Back of the Dragon.  This was her first long trip and I wanted to spoil her so she will never ride away on some super slab adventure of boredom.

To work every day, one 7 day ride to Utah (about 4K) and a handful of weekends this year.  Nothing to speak of last year except for the to work part, so it counts as an improvement.

I aim to do better next year.  Bigsmile

An uncompleted LD rally in April due to mechanical failure, about 1500 miles total with the ride to and from added.
European tour for two weeks, just ~1600 miles.
Two three day weekends in northern Kentucky, but under 1500 miles each.
Three day weekend to northern Michigan for about 1200 miles.

I had fun, but it wasn't a grand touring type year.

Only got three multi day trips in this year. All 3 or 4 day long weekend trips. Shortest was about 500 miles and the longest was about 1500 miles or so. I got a few long day rides in as well including two SS1000 rides this fall.

I spent 3 weeks on a trip to NorCal--while I didn't ride every day (my wife met me in SF for a few days), I had a great time.  It was my longest bike trip to date.  I got to visit several ST.N'ers along the way Smile

Other than that, I did several 2- and 3-day business trips on the bike (means I can write off the accommodations Wink ).

I did three multi-day rides this year, and I gotta say I feel very lucky and happy with how the weather was working in my favor this year. Best ever tours on that front. First was the last ten days of April running new to me roads in the SouthEast, and only one real rain-day, where I was riding with major deadly tornadoes popping up all around during that 10 day tornado dodging ride:
http://www.sport-touring.net/forums/index.php/topic,62493.0.html

Second week+ ride was a 3,500 mile loop of California. Just a little spritz leaving Los Angeles on the first day out over Cerro No Arreste, major scary lighting storm accompanied which is really pretty rare in So. Cal. Visiting Georgia rider who I met on the first ride must have brought that weather with him  Razz. First part of the second day was miserable and Drizzly going up Hwy 1 outta San Francisco, but the weather broke to sunny skies just as we reached Stewarts Point where I was about to turn inland. The whole rest of the trip had magnificent weather hovering in the 70's for a 9 day tour of California hitting a bajillion favorite twisty roads.

Then there was the annual B4theSnowFlies ride to the SouthSierras end of October, Three Rivers and whatnot. This was the 7th run for this event and the weather was absolutely perfect! Even though Bluepoof thinks I'm making this up and all the pics were photochopped.  Razz

Multiple 3 or 4 day trips this year.  Usually target about 300 miles per day, but I'm already close to the mountains.  I didn't hit 1500 on any of the trips.

Retired last fall and thought I would be able to get several trips this year, but I was to busy!  Did get 1 weeklong trip to Johnson City, Tn and several day trips on the bike, but that was it.  Next year, without kids getting married, grandkids getting born, house hunting, and other time consuming events  I should be able to get a few more trips in.

No multiple day ride this year.  Our 2nd child was born so I had more family commitments.  2010 was great for me; 4 multi day trips which included 2 Stn events.   Thumbsup

I'm already thinking of 2012.  Maybe 2 trips.  We'll see.

Yup. Did a multi-day ride along the California Coast up US 1. That one NEVER gets old. We also did a tour of North East California up and around Mt Lassen and Shasta.  Thumbsup Thumbsup
