Over twenty thousand miles on the old goat now, so I figured why not get her a nice new air filter to go along with the oil/diff fluid change I did this morning. I had my local dealership order an air filter when I picked up the oil filter last week. It's the same price as online so I figured I'd support the local guy. I also had a chat with him at the time about stocking items such as oil filters, brake pads, and filters. He assured me he'd keep those items on hand for me since I seem to be the only person in the area putting any miles on a C14.
The quest begins:
I hopped on the bike and, shocker of all shockers, my first stop would be at the fuel pump.

Five gallons of premium please.

Then it was off to the dealer to pick up the air filter.
Ooo pretty...

Then I meandered home.
Haaaaayyyyyyy

Riding through Brush Valley there's a whole lot of corn, cows, and barns surrounded by wee little mountains.

I stopped by to see these guys.

Still looking for a guy on a buffalo--OH

Mess with this bull and you'll definitely get the horns.

Back on the mean streets of Brush Valley you can look up to see the Mt Nittany Inn

The view from the deck is not obstucted like this one, but I had no dough to eat. I just bought a $42.00 air filter.

From there I made my way over to Fisherman's Paradise

Ripples ahead!

This place is crawling with trout.

And finally I stopped at the old mill at the end. Note the stars on the building. They are the plates that hold the steel rods that connect the walls together.

An old mill stone and some slippery mossy bricks. Traction control for the win.

On the way home...DOUBLE PALINDROME!!! Squeeee!!

So in the end did the filter really need changing? Just over a year and 20,000 miles (many of which were spent dual sporting with JamminJere).
It's a little dirty.

That's the bright sun behind the filter. You should probably be able to see some light through there pretty easily.

I'll surely pickup at least 13 horsepower and 6.2 MPG.

This brief ride report was inspired by Bob.
