Hi all,
I need a new sleeping bag for Southern UK / Europe. (I have been told Scotland is fantastic to tour but southern Europe is closer and the roads getting there are better, the food is better, the petrol / beer cheaper) anyway.....

back to the sleeping bag. I need something can anyone recommend a comfortable bag that wraps us small for the top box.  My current one is mummy shaped but I definitely don't want one like that again.  I'm thinking about a----- at £54 anyone know of anything better

Check out a Decathlon store if there is one near you, they're slowly moving over here from France (I used to shop there before they came here!) but their camping gear is so unbelievably cheap but at the same time its really good. I have their 3 season sleeping bag and it squashes down really really small.

http://www.decathlon.co.uk/EN/Product_arborescence/mountain/hiking/hiking-sleeping/camp-sb/product_6548797/index.html is the one I have I think... I know its cheap but I am seriously impressed with it. Unless you're going to be camping in freezing conditions and you have a camping mat then you'll be fine in this.

Decathlon also have tons of general purpose stuff in their own brand, camel backs etc Great stuff!

(I'll stop the Decathlon lovin' now  Lol)

I've got a 'Snugpak' which i fine extremely comfortable. Mine is a little bit 'mummy' shaped but still has plenty of room for my feet to move. The best thing is it's size when packed away... I've just got back from Belgium and this is it strapped to the side of my bike:
