Cleaning leather

I am a big fan of the Black Leather Jacket.
The Brits copied them from that fillum which featured the young and beautiful Marlon Brando.
Then we were rockers.
All thanks to Marlon and Rock and Roll. (mind you, who created the cafe racer? )
Now, I have owned a number of these BLJs over the yearsa-I've crashed in them, slept in them, had sex wearing them. I've smelled of leather and tobacco, ridden Nortons and Guzzis in them, etc.
To the point. In the past, I used to clean them with liquid bees wax. Today, I have used bog standard leather cleaner.
Am I damned to hell?

And I'm a big fan of nutty leather stripper boots and such. Yes, probably going to hell but smiling all the way.
That said there's only one proper way to clean leather, a good old fashioned tounge applied spit-shine.

What was the question?
Oh ya - warm soap and water and occasionally hit it with a leather conditioner. Hit it - of ya I forgot.

Saddle soap followed by an application of neats foot oil or mink oil or some other leather conditioner.

I use the Lexol conditioner about once a year for conditioning, but I think they make a cleaner also.
