Interesting. I know they have been keeping this event somewhat secretive the last couple of years. I guess I don't blame them considering the crowds that have been showing up. It was just getting too big for the location.

I thought the public wasn't invited. Didn't someone last year get notified as such after posting it here?

Well... This is the first year it is not being held at a private residence outside of Mertztown. it always drew a pretty good crowd in the past. I would think it will do well at Oley, and should be a good time.
If I can stay away from too much cranberry sauce and egg nog, I should make this again this year..

I think they were trying to keep the crowds down last year. It was held at a guys house in past years and was getting a little overcrowded. I'm guessing now that they are posting a website again and having it at the Oley Fairgrounds it's open to everyone.

I assumed it was an open invite since it was posted on the web, instead of the supermarket BB. Maybe see you there?
Depends if I spend all day riding Saturday, wife may expect a little home time.

Yep, if you're going west on 73, split off to the right on Main St. at the flashing yellow light. Go a few blocks and then make a right on Jefferson. The fairgrounds are on the left across from the school.
If you're coming from a different direction you're on your own.
Seriously though, just punch in Oley Fairgrounds in Google Maps and it brings it right up.

Here's a couple random pics from the TP Nationals
Probably more horsepower in this pic than all the vintage bikes there combined:
For MrsCB:
Who says Harleys leak oil?
All together it was a great late November riding day. I hit quite a bit of traffic heading home but I think that kept me from running into the rainstorms that blew through the State College area ahead of me. Made it home dry with just shy of 400 miles on the clock.

What a great little bike event. Couldn't have asked for a better day to ride
Good time.
Some of my pics, I'm sure some of these are redundant, but,
One of the most beautiful airheads I think I've ever drooled over:
I watched this guy start this greasy old 1939 pig in 3 kicks. His SO climbed up on the edge of the seat with him and off they went. Damn thing sounded healthy believe it or not.
Some sort of Indian delivery/service wagon.
TONS of vintage Nortons and Triumphs.
This lady rivals Poofs midgetness. Check the shoes.
She had a very cool CB400 cafe bike.
I'd have sex with this airhead. This bike was AMAZINGLY beautiful.
Kwak Rat!
This Vincent was probably the most unique thing there. My buddy Pete said these were the police bikes in
A Clockwork Orange.
Some of you guys missed this one as it was a late show I think. I can't even begin to imagine what this bike is worth.
Beauty K75. I've always secretly lusted after one of these.
Zundap. Never heard of them but very vintage coolness, there were a few of them there.
Neat old military-lookng Norton thumper.
A not-so-beautiful K75, but this interesting fellow has taken the bike to places like Kathmandu, Mongolia, and Siberia. All over the world in one trip on this bike.
My buddy Pete (Ace Hooligan) built this Bonneville custom and the hack/Bonny below. Pete's doing some amazing work.
The gold wheeled Bonny's maiden voyage/road test was to the show yesterday. This thing sounds amazing and goes like all hell.
The tank, fairing, and cowling are all carbon fiber and kevlar. He even built the frame from some kind of Reynolds hi-tech lightweight aluminum tubing.
A KMW sticker sighting. I think there were three of those at the show.
My buddy Al + st2sam chatting it up. That's Al's red Sprint. He's a real serious rider, having put 72,000 miles on that bitch since the spring of '08.
My aging Golden Pig behind that, and behind that a some bunch of assholes showed up on C-14's and a lonely blue FJR.
Skee, since the boys f*cked you over and cropped you out of the pic (along with my Golden Pig), this ones for you.
Did anybody mention that Skee is like 9 f*cking feet tall???
I really should watch my mouth on the forum because all these boys are friggin' huge.
Smoker's probably the next shortest one to me, but his arms are like tree trunks.
Jammin' Jere, 2nd time I've met Jerry, Rincewind, Smoker and Skee, and I got to meet Mrs. Rincewind as well.
Mrs. Rince + Rince bailed early, I saw them heading out of the parking lot + she rode her Savage in to the event.
I even got to meet and chat a bit with the **SuperHans.** I didn't take a picture as I thought that ugly prick would break the camera.
Cablebandit (took me a few tries to remember who he was) and Spanky gearing up to go. Skee waiting patiently in the background.
Mrs. CB, I thought you would be there for sure!!!
st2Sam and the Scranton cronies arriving happily. It was an hour and 45 minute ride for us down there. I'd say it took those boys about a half-hour having ridden (or shold I say trying to chase) with all of them before.
Nice to see familiar faces.
Anyway it was nice to meet some of you again, and some I havn't met before. All very, very nice people.

Nah...I'd have still stayed home.
We got in a nice ride on Saturday and I had decorating and dish swapping to do on Sunday.
Still...I would have LOVED to see that sweet little Ascot in person...it's so cherry! (Literally AND figuratively!)

That Ascot was in great shape. I have not seen one of those in forever. Cool little bike that is for sure. I must admit, the last time I asked to see someone's sweet little Ascot - I got slapped

We did see a guy that said he rode there from Jersey loading his bike in the back of a van about 3 miles from the fairground.
Yep, I came across that too and was wondering WTF?

This Vincent was probably the most unique thing there. My buddy Pete said these were the police bikes in
A Clockwork Orange.
Some of you guys missed this one as it was a late show I think. I can't even begin to imagine what this bike is worth.
Oh I missed that black beauty, thanks.

Figured you did. I saw you and the Mrs. bailing out of the parking lot. Figured you guys were starving. They finally did bring out another tray of hot dogs,
and man they were damn good. Crunchy, snappy good local German dogs.

One of the locals donated his old German Shepard for the cause... There was way more hot dog eaters there than they expected.. I think his name was Snappy...as a matter of fact.
BTW... Nice Pics "Timmmmmaaayyy"

The Turkey Pro Nationals website now has slow race results and they are asking for pictures from any one who was there.
I rode my TY250 in the race and did not do too badly.
I need way more practice.

Yes, that was me.
I offered Chris Carr the use of it in the race, but he declined, as he prefers higher speed events.
Other people took some nice pix of it, see the website. Making it street legal was difficult, to say the least.

Winner!
Story behind that photo, last wednesday night I picked up an 8 inch steel tent stake, of all things in my near new ME880 rear. Pissed me off royally.
Punctured the carcass, I managed to get it plugged and pumped up for the ride home. Saturday night, my buddy Al and me pulled the wheel and tire and patched/plugged it
from the inside, but we didn't rough up the surrounding rubber enough. Still leaking air.
So I'm airing up 5-10 lbs now and then until I can get the Golden Pig in the shop again this weekend.
Sucks ass man. Must've been the Camping Gods out to get me because I ignored them this year and didn't camp out at all.
Booyeah.
