So I pulled the trigger on an '11 ABS for just under 12k to keep the ZX14 company in the garage. I know, most will say there is a bit of redundancy but I just love that 14 engine and I wanted me some more creature comforts. Both in silver of course! I just had to share, I pick her up on Saturday so tomorrow will be a long day for sure.

You'll love it. Pull the flies and map it. Cool

Well, I already have the ZX tuned with flies out, velocity stacks, full Muzzy, ignition advanced and geared down -1 + 2 and she laid down 186/112 on a stingy dyno with 300 miles on the bike so I'm thinking I'll ride the ZX when I feel the need and take the Connie for more sedate rides, would be tempting though if she was my only steed!

Congrats!  Seems like a great deal too.  I looked hard at the C14 before I decided on my Ninja.  It is an awesome ride, and I hope you love it!

We await pictures Smile

Just go ahead and pull the flies anyway. The bike has no low end until you do. Lots of guys don't even do a remap since it runs so rich to begin with. Oh the stock tires suck. You'll have another new bike once you replace them.

186 HP is not quite enough for touring. I think it needs a turbo.

Enjoy! I'm loving mine. I haven't done anything performance wise. Coming off a 1600cc cruiser, it's got plenty of power as is for me, even with the "Eco" map running.

Ya know, the funny thing is I was damn close to getting a turbo, but decided to spend the cash on another mount instead. 300+ hp would be nice though!

I'm sure they have.  I know somebody on the Connie forum was adding one to the Concours.  No doubt all the development took place on the ZX14 side.

Is the c14 really that gutless down low?  Or is it just people who think it's a zx-14 and complain when it doesn't try to pull your arms out every time you pin it?

It really is, especially 2 up.  It doesn't act like a 1400 down low with the secondary flies.
