Nice pics, I ride there often.

Hemet to Mtn. center isn't to bad on traffic.  There are some areas to pass (even legally sometimes) heading that direction.  Much better then the traffic from Palm Desert to Mtn. Center  Rolleyes.

I live in San Jacinto so I run that a lot, Hemet to Palm Desert. Another great ride is 74 to 371 to 79  to Santa Ysabel, Or take 79 to S22 to Borrego Springs. Then S3 to 78 to Julian.

That's a good run.  There is also a little, narrow snake of a road, Wilson Valley Rd. that turns west off of 371 past Anza.  Its short, but with many blind corners and tight off camber stuff that demands some real focus.  Much less traffic on this little road aswell.

Sometimes we take the Wilson Valley road cut off instead of taking Sage all the way to 79, Either way it's a great ride..

A nice variation on the '74 theme - Out of Palm Desert, up the hill, then 243 to Idyllwild, on up to 7000 ft then down the hill to Banning and a short slab back to the valley.
We did this New Year's Day with very little traffic ~ major twisties and a great day ride  Thumbsup

My preference would be the other direction.  Up the hill from Banning is better (as far as the flow of the road goes) than down, and descending into the desert on 74 gives you phenomenal views.

This is my pre trackday ride on the Zed after fitting new tires or checking other work between rides.  A quick sub 20 mile shot back on I10 E and I'm home after 80 miles of twisty goodness.

And yeah going up is more better  Thumbsup.
