Given the potential for a relo to said area, I'm assuming outdoor activities abound.  What do you do in the area and how does it compare to other places you've been?  What is your activity of choice?  I'm specifically looking at Mt. Bike and possible dual sport / offroad motorcycling but also interested in getting into new activities.  Should I start saving for a DR or XT?  Show me your fun stuff.

I pretty much re-located here because of work myself. I haven't really explored much else than taking the motorcycle up mountain passes, either dirt or pavement. I don't have much time for other things. I camp a bit but did that in other places. The only difference is that I now wake up to a view of 14er's.

Most stuff here is usually mountain related. Either you can hike it, ride it, ski it, view it, etc. I love it here.

LOTS of single track trails (so I've been told). I'm exploring the jeep realm now and am enjoying stuff. A handy web site for 4x4 trails, but certainly could be used for single track work, is www.TrailDamage.com (as in damage to your vehicle from the trail).

www.FunTreks.com also makes 4x4 trail books but does have some/minimal reference to motorcycle/offroad trail use.

You can stop in to the NFS offices for forest service maps as well, some paid some free.

If anyone wishes to ride along with me on a trail ride, let me know and I'll holler when a ride is planned.
