Well, I was out of the door early this morning.....but my gloves just couldn't deal with today's temps.  I had to turn back Sad  The Futura was having a good time, too.

I really need to get heated gloves...

So, Capt. Anonymous, was our "golden gathering" to your liking?

A rather valiant use of alliteration, young man.
Whether your 'Golden Gathering' was to my liking does concern me, I would not have guessed you to be a needy sort.

Observations from a distant table gave me insight into this august body of men and women. The social structure is much like that of a bee hive. The drones buzz about, playing their game of musical chairs hoping to light near the queen. It was rather easy to see who was chosen as the queen, not once did he leave his throne, beverages were brought to him and he alone had a quaint electronic device.

Alas, quite clearly every attendee  was not party to the 'A' list.

You should know that he is a kind and fair Queen.  He reigns for a reason.
