Put on my new Shoei Multitec modular helmet, my Kili Air Jacket, HT air overpants, steel-toed workboots, and elkskin gloves.  

Mounted the Vehicle.  Inserted key, energized electrical systems and, using installed eleltric motor, proceeded to cause the 648cc 1 cylinder "thumper" to initiate rythmic cycles of intake / compression / ignition / exhaust of refined petrochemical fuels, converting chemical energy into mechanical energy through a highly-engineered internal combustion engine...and the transfer this mechanical energy to the paved road surface by means of a five (5) speed mechanical gearbox which in turn drove a sprocket / chain / sprocket / wheel and axle / tire linkage system.

Rode 13.1 miles to work on the backroads.  

Dodged 3 - 4 assorted MASSHOLES who respect neither lane markers nor traffic control signals en route...administered one (1) "Bird" and two (2) separate "head shakes" at said offenders, depending on severity of their perceived offenses.

Upon arrival at aforementioned domicile of employment, proceeded to dismount the vehicle (baby GS, mileage "still" under 2,000 miles...) and progress into said domicile.  Disrobed of said protective outergarments and proceeded to execute assigned responsibilities with utmost of flair, personal zeal, and unparraleld creativity and efficiency.

I've come to the conclusion that there is "no" way of spelling "unparalleled" such that it "looks" proper / correct.  Which is not to say that I didn't intend to spell it properly the first time...just that, as Dred so aptly noted, I was otherwise consumed / directed / motivated.

Sadly, being a touch anal-retentive about proper spelling is one of the many fringe benefits included in the "Big Cheese" package that is my personality...so seeing a typo or two (lovingly referred-to as "ed-Spell" for those of us who hail from R4...) in one of my own posts undoubtedly bugs the sh!+ out of me far more than it does anybody / everybody else...deal with it!

I drove the cage because of the forecast of ice.  What a crock!  Sun is out and shining.  Should/coulda/woulda rode but now the bike gets put away Saturday...

Over the weekend the forecast called for snow coming in late Sunday and into Monday. Sunday they revised the forecast and took out all mentions of precipitation. I went to bed Monday night and again there was no mention of precipitation, so image my surprise when I woke up to an inch of snow Tuesday morning. While it's no problem for me because I grew up in the snow belt of Ohio - I cannot say them same about my fellow drivers in Missouri. There were hundreds of accidents this morning and it took my wife 90 minutes to get to work. Her normal commute, in morning traffic, is about fifteen minutes.
