I was planning to work through the cold and bail in February but we hit a little slow spot, the phones not ringing, the snows getting deeper and the battery in the Scrambler is dead.
So here I sit, Rammstien on the computer, AC/DC on the TV and the level in the Metaxa bottle is falling fast. What're the rest of you doing to get through?

Enduring the wind and snow and cold for now. Attending far too many Chritmas parties. Going on a cruise at the end of Dec. Surfing the web and dreaming about buying a Guzzi. Hang in there Bill. Looking forward to riding with you at the next Borscht burn. Wish I was into the Metaxa tonight!  Smile

All is good Bill. Haven't been on the bike since September. Needs new tires and servicing. Mrs Sputnik and I looking forward to a decent vacation in the sun. The incessant wind here is now driving us nuts. Grand kids all good....and nice that they go home after a visit!

Have a nice holiday  Thumbsup

Just got back from 10 days at an all-inclusive resort in Cuba.

Spending too much time on Kijiji looking for an old Willys or CJ5 as a resto project.

No snow yet so have refused to winterize the bikes for storage.

Still summer here! +10 and doesn't even freeze at night. Snowmobilers are going crazy! License still good til December 31, so gonna make use of every day.
Might start looking for an enduro type thing though, for the slushy days that are sure to come...

These days I am constantly wiping the drool from my chin as alphabet man bombards me with deal after deal on Moto Guzzi's  Lol No snow to speak of here and sunny days.

Today is my daughter's 16th birthday and we are wondering where the time has gone?    She is heading down today to write her learner's test, and it looks like she has got a job at Safeway As a friend mentioned ..."wheels and money? .. ooh, that sounds like trouble!" yep it likely is. I guess learning to ride will be on the horizon soon !  EEK!

KTM is all spiffy. One more check of the valves is likely but otherwise it is pristine and also likely cleaner and better sorted than the day it was made!  Lol Cool  She goes up for sale in Feb and I begin the hunt in earnest for a Norge and a small dual sport, though I could be tempted with a green LeMans V11 if I am not careful.

Two weeks till the shortest day of the year, then it gets gooder each day. We have Mexico booked for 2 weeks in March so have that to look forward to.

We tried that for a while with the last two we had on the road for the season.

Oops!  Waited a little long...!!!

On Monday we managed to shoehorn them in with four of their friends (and other accumulated garage "stuff" Lol) in our front garage.  I can't get them all in the same frame for a picture without switching to  the wide angle lens for the camera, so I'm not posting their picture in there....

After a few years of giving into knee issues, I am going to downhill ski again this year. The double diamonds are out but I do plan on hitting Red Mountain in January and am really looking forward to being back on skis after many years.  Bigok

I keep thinking about a sled but I suspect that is not in my future and would require curtailing the trips to Mexico ... sleds or Mexico ??  Headscratch  ... Mexico has got to win for me.  Cool  I will just have to get my vicarious sled thrill from alphabet man and his amazing pics and videos.  Thumbsup

A very happy birthday to Arija..... you'll be an empty-nester before you know it!
So what happened to the love affair with the KTM?

I'm also scouting out Guzzi's.  I  love the styling of the new V7 special.

The KTM is an awesome bike. I have put over 2o,ooo km on it and the thing is about 85% of that is on road touring. I love the odd DS riding but feel I would be better off on a dedicated road bike and smaller DS bike. The Guzzi's have long had my attention. I am a bit torn and would love a Triumph GT but for years I have been close to buying a Guzzi and I think the Norge is a great bike.

If I could, I would keep the KTM and have a Norge AND a smaller DS but that is unlikely with university ahead for my daughter. So ... after much struggling in my wee brain, I think the KTM has to go. Shame really as I have never seen a nicer one.  Sad
