I have a "Widder" vest and such which has been sitting for awhile.

Dry cleaning seems to be the best and only approach.
Widder doesn't specify and the dry cleaners are clueless.

Anyone know how best to clean electric gear?

Thanks

The most I've used on my heated gear is a damp sponge.

Just hand wash and hang dry like Gerbings - no reason that should cause any problems.

I should redefine the question - how do you get rid of the smell of cigarette smoke on a heated vest?

That done, the problem of the smell still exists; hence my question.  Twofinger

I know a former smoker who used Zero Odor spray with good results. Some Bed Bath & Beyonds have it, or Amazon.

Some sort of Ozone spray should kill the stink.

Also you can just toss it in the washing machine.

Well I just noticed last night that my Gerbing liner is starting to get a bit funked-out with my stink, and I generally don't stink.

Just hand wash and hang dry like Gerbings - no reason that should cause any problems.

And spray with something like Frebreeze if needed.
