Is your mom ok w/ you using the computer?

Anyway, I guess you already forgot about that imaginary test ride you claimed you took on the Nightster...

You're a douche.  You owe this site a lot of money.

I see that the few idiots on this website have highjacked this post.

I was just wanting to start a conversation on this bike that HD is selling now.    I have seen a few that have been customized and are actually impressive machines.    The motor "Is what it is" but can be tuned for better performance if you need it.

The fit and finish is very good on the 48.  An upgrade to the suspension and I think this would be a good ride for anyone wanting to ride solo.

OK Rajbag, I'll play.

The Nightster,
http://i855.photobucket.com/albums/ab119/john2cook1/STN/sportster.jpg

The 48,
http://i855.photobucket.com/albums/ab119/john2cook1/STN/2010_Harley-Davidson_Forty-Eight_48.jpg

Aside from a slightly different front end, they look basically the same.

I do like the front end on these two, the slightly fatter tires on one and the rubber suspension boots on the other one are cool.

I believe however that a Sportster is a Sportster is a Sportster.

I look at it like a Mr. Potato Head.

You can take off the parts (mouth, nose etc..) and replace them with any other parts including the ones for Mrs Potato Head. You are left with,

..................a fucking potato.

Now, about Frenchie's idea.....................

If the sportster were a gun, which one would it be?

As you have no fokin clue about either this should be an interesting answer.

Good call, Skipper! Bigok I think anybody could redeem themselves if they tried to change how they are perceived and didn't consistently act the way they do. Actually riding/meeting with another member of this forum in person for example. People might be able to say "He's really not such a douche when you actually meet him in person." Oh well...
As for the sporster "48", I like the sportster in general but I couldn't live with any bike that was so limited by its LOW/HARSH suspension. It is a deliberate styling choice I know. I just like when my bikes actually work well as motorcycles as opposed to working as a fashion statement.

he brightens up my life and stuff. permaban or a short one? STN has lost so many funny people.... Sad

Anyway, if I had an Ultraglide, which I was selling, I might use the cash to buy a Victory, if cruisers were my sort of thng. Better made, much faster and they handle-until bits ground out.

A Sportster is a fine machine for the money but I'm not sure I'd want a fat tyre on the front.
