I decided to clean up all the connections on my decade old Gerbings gear the other day following the directions in the video below.
By gosh it actually seems to have made a difference. Went for a ride the other night at about 25 degrees, and it sure feels warmer than it has for some time. So for those of you with older gear, spend 10 minutes and clean up your connections

Edit: Also - you can use a tiny jewelers screw driver to spread the pin's halves apart a tiny amount on the center pin on female ends.
AND - make sure to pull the fuse before doing this on the harness plug!
