Hee!  The Northern California Women's Hockey League is a 501(c) non-profit all-volunteer organization.  We have over 200 women skating in the league in four different skill-based divisions (each division has between 4 and 6 teams).   The board is eight people: president, VP, secretary, treasurer, and division coordinators for each of the 4 divisions.

The board is responsible for over 20 volunteers that keep the league going, including coordinators for team coaches, referees, scorekeepers, inventory (procuring jerseys and socks), etc.

Personally, as treasurer, I wrangle Quickbooks, pay the rinks every month, pay the refs/scorekeepers, make sure invoices for jerseys, awards, etc are paid, work with our tax accountant for fiscal year and calendar year IRS paperwork, coordinate our relationship with USA Hockey (essentially, they just provide our insurance), and deal with anything else financial.  Injury/pregnancy credits, beginning of season registration, buyouts if a skater moves away, etc.

And of course, there's a healthy amount of drama at board meetings because you can't have a group of 200+ women without a healthy amount of drama. Lol
