If, and I don't know for sure that it has been verified completely, the truck driver had no insurance and was driving anyway (conscience decision by him), as far as I'm concerned he had no right to be driving it on the street and should have the book thrown at him.
I am a little touchy about how much I pay in insurance for all my vehicles and then the only accident a family member has is caused by a uninsured driver and he basically walks with barely a slap on the hand.
Also, IMHO anyone who has wheelied on a public street should not negatively comment on the "stuntah's" actions. I myself am in no way justified to pass judgement on him.

In court if I was the truck driver, I would say that I was distracted by the stuntah's actions and didn't see the light because of it.
With the right attorney;
Fault - Stuntah.
Except that there's no stunting performed that the truck driver could have possibly seen.

That's really strange, huh? The guy with the insurance gets sued and has to put up with registered letters and threats from his OWN INSURANCE company while the dude with NO INSURANCE walks away with a $100 ticket.
My wife got hit on the LIE a few years ago and the guy had no license, registration or insurance. The cop let him go. We were all stunned.

Well the video does not show the guy who got hit doing any stunts at the time at least. And how many times do you need to ask a guy that just got hit by a truck. "Are you alright, man?". Of course he's not alright

That is bullshit. Not sure about NY's laws, but if your wife would have said she was injured, he would have been arrested on the spot here. PA has a 1 year minimum sentence for driving without a license if there is an injury crash.
Now if was a minor collision with no injuries, and the guy who hit her had a verifiable address, then yes he would be let go as the citations can be mailed (at least here in PA). We would tow the car though.

I love reading the instant idiotic ST-N responses that videos like this inevitably receive on here.
DAMN STUNTAZ, THEY GET WHAT THEY DESERVE.
I used to think wisdom came with age. But the more time I spend on this site, the more I just think it makes you curmudgeonly and resentful.

Good speed and hope he heals well. May his bike be made right. I shall not cast any stones as I am sure that I have not always rode within the law at all times. I would hope that if I ever have someone run a red light strike me, that no one would wish me ill will for past discretion's.
Good post.

People in here are riders. Nobody in here can say they have never broken any traffic laws. EVERYONE DOES IT! You don't ride a freakin' sportbike or sport-tourer if you don't speed or do a bit of "stunting" on a twisty road or highway. If you rode briskly on your favorite backroad that is easily stunting and to most law abiding, square people, that's bad behavior. If you do NOT ride briskly on your sport-touring bike, then you should just get a H-D Geezer Glide. What is the point of having a powerful, high performance bike if you don't intend to use it to go fast?
So yes I agree with you. Some people in here are just too quick to pass judgement when most of them are guilty of similar sins while riding their motorcycles.

I think it is a pretty easy case. delete wheelie guy form the scene and all you have is a truck blowing a red light and hitting a bike who's rider is within the law? not much to argue
Or... if some guy wheelies past you and you get hit by a red light runner its your fault???
