Christmas day ride
«
on:
December 23, 2011, 08:55:40 AM »
With the weather looking sunny and 40 I'm looking to do a Christmas day ride before dinner. (never been able to do that before) then watch the Bears put the smack on the pack.
Put new rubber on the bike yesterday so life is good.
Is any one else going to try to get out?

Went yesterday to get the tires changed. 100 miles there 120 home.
On the way home i hit fog, mist, some ice pellets and some flakes of snow. Still a good ride.

At first I was going to ask if you've been watching them lately but I think they just might get it done this week. They are currently -13 but this weekend is their Superbowl. The Pack may be a bit let down after their first loss but they do need to win to secure home field for the playoff run. We'll see.
I wont be riding on Christmas but the weather is looking great for next week's commute. Dont think Ive ever ridden the week between Christmas and New Years.
Happy Holidays everyone!

Ah, well in that case let us remind our fine neighbors to the north that the Bears lead the all time series 92–85–6. In the unlikely event the Pack win every time they meet, they'll catch up sometime in 2015.

Christmas at chez Scotty's is usually pretty laid back. The weather is supposed to be fairly mild.I might take Lil Bastard out for a jaunt.Or I might have a hangover and say fuckit.
If I do I'll post up some pics.Or not.

I may have to try a little ride just to say I did it? Most of the snow we had has melted and the V-Strom has seen salt before!
Merry Christmas to All!

Well............. 50 miles south of you, Tom, we only had a dusting that stuck on the grass. So...........being that I'm back to around 95% from that nasty head/chest cold I've been battling the past 2 weeks +, I managed to get in around 30 miles today. Earlier, while the sun was out, I rode to the auto parts store 3 cities over for oil-n-filter for the cage & took care of that as well. Sure seemed good to be riding again! Noticed some of the intersections were white w/ salt residue already though.

The weather in our little slice of Region 6 is supposed to be similar, so I'm hopeful we can get out for a little while after presents and breakfast.

I'm definitely going to go for a ride after work! If Christmas day is going to be nicer than it was today, I can't pass that up! Work until noon, ride until 4, sound like the perfect Christmas... Cheers

45+ degrees here today and sunny. It was pretty windy though. I got about an hour ride in and my feet got cold. I need warmer boots...
