For Christmas Eve we watched the traditional holiday film "28 Days Later"  Bigsmile  and I was once again caught by the scenery in the closing scene. Wiki says that it was filmed in Ennerdale, Cambria, but no more detail than that.

Anyone have any idea where that final aerial shot up the long valley was taken?

Ennerdale and Ennerdale Water are on the western side of The Lake District. It is one of the more beautiful natural areas of England. Google maps satellite view will show you a number of lakes in the area and any of those valleys could be the one your looking for.

Yep, that's  as far as I got  Bigok

But most of what I could find were farmlands and towns; nothing like what they showed in the movie. And I couldn't get a good sense of the lay of the land from satellite or earth view, so I thought that I'd give my overseas STNer's a little puzzle if they were bored this holiday  Bigsmile

Okay, I'll watch the movie again. It's probably all CG at the end!

This is Loweswater. About 4 miles directly north from Ennerdale Water.
