Sorry I missed you, got my bike in pieces today.

I imagine Rider's Hill is closed tomorrow, so we'll be at McDonalds instead

yeah, we had fun. Flygirl passed a car on the DY right in front of 2 Lumpkin LEOs and got a warning. And then I almost got some free gas. We were filling up at the gas station and this guy had prepaid and was walking back out to his car. Flygirl dropped her keys and bent over to pick them up. That shook the guy up so much that he got in his car and left w/o ever getting gas LOL

Most roads are okay. There is gravel on top of Blood about 3 turns from the top and ALOT of gravel at the top of Richard Russell. But otherwise 129, 180, 75, ALT75, were clewar. Ya'll have fun and maybe next year!

That's pretty damn funny! It pays to be a chick!! a little while back, a buddy of mine passed an unmarked LEO in Robbinsville on a DY right in front of me. The outcome wasn't so good.

We should have ridden with you guys yesterday, the roads were all wet today. We did the usual also- Blood Mtn, RBR, 17/75, 76, 197, lunch in Clarkesville and then ran the whole route backwards, but had to take it a little easy with the wet pavement. We'll be back it soon, I hope!

eFnJustRide, Was that you at Turners Corner Cafe yesterday morning about 930ish? We were 3 bikes, FJR, RT & Concours, turned left on Hwy 129 towards Blood Mtn. Roads sucked all day as they were wet. Didn't clear up until we hit 400 heading home, then bright blue sky.

Hope you had a good ride.

Funny, not us, but close. We hit Turners corner and headed up Blood Mtn a little after 11:00. We were in a group of  4FJR's and a KTM950 adventure. We did see a C14 and an RT at the top of Blood Mtn. Any chance that was you?

Yeah, the roads were crap! Who forecasted that POS?

This was our run up 17/75

I guess it pays to be female  EEK!  I had the same scenario last April, the 2nd LEO turned around and gave me a $170 ticket  Crazy

eFnJustRide, Not us, the Concours is a C10. We did the same route as you, but on 197, we took 356 back to Helen for lunch. After lunch we were gearing back up and it started raining, so we just decided to bag it and head home. Took 75A back towards 400. It cleared up when we hit 400.

Jerry, that's what you get for having a "ticket me" red C14. If you had the stealthy "silver dammit", you would have gone unnoticed.  Lol

Wish I could, I have an Eagle Court of Honor to attend on Saturday and Sunday I have to take my daughter back to school in Rome. The RT rider is in Thailand for a month. I'll pass it on to the FJR rider.

I'm a sucker for a good mountain ride!  I'd love to come if you don't mind the new guy tagging along Bigsmile

EDIT: forgot to confirm, is it the same plan?  10 am at rider's hill?

absolutely, we're always up for meeting and riding with new people!

10 at Rider's Hill works for me. Looks like rain could be an issue, but we'll see what it looks like as we get closer.
At this point we've got two 2-up FJR's... you might be able to catch up on some sleep following us LOL

lol, you may be giving me too much credit!  However, I know the area quite well.  If I get too frustrated in rear, we can just set up some rally points and i'll catch up on my sleep on the side of the road Smile

I noted the forecast as well. 30% chance is odds I will take, but who knows what it'll actually been.  I'll check in again on Friday.

I few members from GSB/BSB are meeting at the Chevron at the end of 400 at 11am - nice group of guys. You should try to hook up with them.

Thanks for the heads up!  I'm not sure what GSB or BSB are, but I may swing by that Chevron to check them out.
