These are a good set of pants. I still occasionally use a pair I bought back in 2002. All the materials are in good shape with zero wear and tear showing. They were my daily commuters for 5 years. Easy on/off. Mildly waterproof. Good for commuting.

It's a layer of fairly thick leather and a nylon liner. No insulation.
NOTE: I had a very similar, but not identical pair that I bought back in 2002. Looks like they have a a few more features, but they lost the ankle to hip side zippers. Still have 6" zippers on the bottom. They'll be good for commuting but not as good as the pair I have.
They have armor now, which is good. I had to jury rig armor into mine.

They're awesome pants. i bought a pair for my now-ex-GF a couple years ago. Really, really nicely made and if I had a spare 165 clams I'd probably up a pair on my gear rack.
They are also cut more like jeans and do not look like baggy armored-out riding pants.

Thanks for the "heads up", I purchased a pair last week. Have always heard great things about motorcyclegear.com and they lived up to all of them. The pants were a great deal, look to be very well made, I won't be using as over pants so ordered same size as jeans and fit is good, not tight but not baggy either. just my .02.
