zx14 vs CBR600rr ?
«

Hello I have a 2008 CBR600rr Honda really like the way the bike handles and runs.
But on longer rides my knees bother me some.
Have sat on zx14 feels to be a lot more open in riding position.See alot of good reviews of zx14 on this site for touring.
Do you think it would be worth trading bikes?

You haven't said how tall you are, so I'd suggest that if it feels good to sit on then it probably will be. I'm only 5'7" and it fits me great, yet my mate who is 6'2" says his fits him great as well. Your knees will still be flexed but nothing like on the 600.
I can only endorse the view that the ZX14 makes an excellent SPORT-touring bike.

Keep the CBR600RR.
Get the ZX14 as your 2nd bike.
I do think you will miss the lightness and quick handling of the CBR when you switch over. But if you can't ride the CBR then there's no point in keeping it.

I actually enjoy the bigger more than SS's I have ridden. You can still hustle, you just need to work more for it.

What he said. I'm 6'2", 240 pounds, and my ZX-14 fits me fine.

From my experience, it is all about rider skill.
Put a good rider on an average bike and watch them run circles around an average rider on a good bike.
Pick a bike that is comfortable and inspires confidence.
ZX14's have great ergonomics, awesome brakes, and are very capable.
I have 20 years experience on sport bikes, and the ZX14 does everything well.

ZX14 having ridden one for a whole day It can make a very nice sport touring bike. I give it two thumps up and CBR600RR two down as a tourer.
