I've been away from home since the end of Aug and am finally going to get R&R at the end of March (barring Iran starting any shit or a civil war starting in Iraq or any number of other things in the region). So far we have a suite booked at the Great Smokeys Lodge in Sevierville starting on the 20th of March. Yes, I know it farther away from the Tail and other rides but given the time of year if the weather is shit there is more to do in the area. The lodge has an indoor water park.
We plan on trailering the bikes down then do day rides from there. This is the first time that my wife will be riding down there. She just started riding last year and has been putting in a lot of miles since she started. It's funny at first I had to push her to ride but once she got comfortable on the bike she's the one who wanted to ride everywhere all the time. She even rode to work yesterday in 30 degree weather and she doesn't even have proper cold weather gear yet!!!!
Anyone going to be in the area then let me know (Reaper). Plan on taking on the Dragon and Moonshiner 28 one day and hope to make it up to US421 "The Snake" another. Possiblely a stretch of the BRP another. I'm just hoping we get some good weather.
