I went out to the garage to see how my Wee would look with the V35 bags reversed; it's still fugly.
The bags will not fit on the rack backwards.
While the locking mechanism on the V35 bags is symmetrical, there is a offset between the centerline on the locking mechanism and the 2 support pins. Which is a d@mn shame, because I think the bags look better when held in the reversed position. The offset in the support pins causes the bag to sit a little further back when reversed, so the bags have a little more ground clearance.
Sometimes I wonder if I got rooked by GIVI when I bought these bags. I can't imagine that Givi would intentionally design the rack so the bags start to scrape at the same time as the peg feelers. The Suzuki bags, which are probably made by Givi, sit just a tad higher. The V35 bags take a special rack, and I bought mine when they just came out for the Wee. Angling the racks ever so slightly different would create a good bit of extra clearance.
I sometimes wonder if I didn't get an early model design flaw, that has maybe since been corrected.
The Givi support rack for the V35 bags is different for every bike. The Mana fitment must be intentional.

I'd happy run around with them on backwards if only Givi made a mounting kit for my CBR250R.
Sadly, the only ones I've ever seen were custom mounted.
