I've got a lead on a set of the old discontinued Widder Lectric Gloves w/ thermostat.  From my research the Widder's use a propreitary 2-prong connector.  I've also already got a Battery Tender fused lead with an SAE style connector coming off the battery.  Does anybody make an SAE to Widder adapter anymore?

I can't seem to find anybody that sells something like that.  Could it be as simple as splicing an SAE connector onto the Widder cable?

They used to make on - http://www.widder.com/html/Product/Hookups/index.html

I had an old pair of Widder gloves that I accidentally fried from running 12-volt to them (by trying to make my own cords).  They are to be wired in series instead of a parallel.  Hopefully you have a glove hook-up wire as well.

I would do this  . . . .like any other system, increasing the number of connection will only increase the number of potential failure points . . . .

The Iron Butt Association (Michael Kneebone) bought up Widder's stock when the company went out and they sell it through the Iron Butt Association store.

Yes, it is.  I've done it and still use a splice.

Having said that, the IBA Store is a great option!

I found one today going through an old tank bag. Sold the Widder gear to a frozen Canuck a few years ago when he was visiting. PM me your address and I'll mail it to you.
