Was passed by and spotted 6 CHP motorcops and 4 cruisers on Highway 50 during the morning commute today.   Headscratch

Not a donut shop in sight, either...

Not all chemicals are bad. Without chemicals such as hydrogen and oxygen, for example, there would be no way to make water, a vital ingredient in beer.

Uh...Region 1?

The CHP academy, CHP headquarters and CHP state security operations are all based here in Sacramento. Its not unusual to see groups of them all over town.

Must have been coming from the donut shop.  If they were going to it they would have had lights and sirens on.

Think that's bad, try crossing Ohio sometime, especially during a holiday weekend.
The floors of the police station must be made from solid marble, with hand carved statues, hand painted ceilings and solid mahogany desks for all of the ticket revenue that state generates.
I hate traveling in Ohio..... Thumbsdown

I was riding through Martinsburg, VA last Sunday when I blew by a parked cop car.  Soon as I passed I looked in my rearview and saw he was lighting up, so I pulled over and stopped.  Had my gloves off and papers out before he even walked up to me to ask for 'em.

My friends Tammy & Rue had been riding behind me and chose to pull off as well, behind the cop car.  Next thing I know another cop car drives up and stops.  Then another one.  Then another one.   I suppose it was either a slow day in Martinsburg, or the first cop got the willies over two more bikes stopping behind him and called for backup.

In any event, assuming the other cops ran Tam & Rue's plates they obviously came back as belonging to girrrrls  Bigsmile   "My" cop might've taken some ribbing from his buds on that -- when he walked back up to me he gave me just a warning ticket.  Thank you, officer.  Inlove

Speaking of donut shops, I took this pic up here in the GWN recently:

Ortega Highway........a year ago they had checkpoint Charley for errant motorcycles about 2/3 of the way up the hill.......they had 14 CHP cars lined up on both sides of the hiway ready for pursuit........they were tearing down a Vespa when I went by the hog lashed down on the flatbed off to one side........but that was only the start, I passed probably 5 more CHP on the way up the hill as I crept down at 40mph...............shock and awe
