Absolutely all true about protection for most all helmets. I do think it's ironic that the company who made fun of cheap helmets back in the day is now the one discounting their own helmets, making them one of the cheaper helmets out there.

So, yesterday was the first longer day with the helmet. 145 miles and I had a splitting headache on the way to lunch. Had the helmet off for about 90 minutes while eating and socializing. Suited back up for the ride home and 30 minutes down the road, the headache was back. This helmet is too tight around the sides of my forehead, so it'll be listed shortly on the for sale board along with the Scorpion 900. Neither helmet have any significant riding time on them. Total for the day was 245 miles and I was glad to have the helmet off.
Next up, I think I'll try the Bell Arrow full face in the Air Raid scheme as it's purported to fit a rounder head and is only $99. I'm tired of spending large green on helmets that don't work for me.
