I hate these things. Poor misunderstood badass bikers. Don't like how people act around you because of your image? Then change it.
Get a helmet, some better visibility gear, and stop riding in blind spots, pay attention to your surroundings and quit relying on loud pipes save lives and watch how much less you have to layer down.

I got that in email format.
There is substance behind it. Basically, people judge motorcyclists as social misfits, hooligans, and possibly criminals (just look at that show Sons of Anarchy). Talk about perpetuating the stereotype. We know only too well the public perception of bikers is not always true (it is sometimes though).
Personally, I think bikers should just be looked at as outlaws so car drivers will leave us alone, not cut us off, not do any road rage on us for fear of reprisal. That seems to work better than them feeling sorry for us or seeing that we are "nice people" they can treat just like they treat each other--cutting everyone off, flipping each other off, tailgating, etc.

This video reminds me of one of my most hated syndromes. The I'm a victim mentality!
Almost everything that happens in your life is a result of your own actions and not a result of the rest of society hating you.
If you want to be a victim then accept it,don't complain about it!

Well in all fairness, most of us are social misfits and hooligans. Criminal might be pushing it a bit though.

Not me. I'm an outlaw and have accepted it. I can't slow down. Everyone around me are all slow-ass mofoes. I'm a retiree's worst nightmare on the road. When I was a kid I used to terrorize people along the sidewalk on my Big Wheel trike. That's my fate. I think my picture is in a Wanted sign (riding my Buell) at my local Sheriff's traffic division office.

You didnt see me when I was riding around like an asshat without a helmet, any protective gear and / or t-shirt with no sleeves. ABATE taught me that if you hit me, it is all your fault, and helmets are useless anyway. My uncle taught me how to ride, so I never took any type of safety course. I'm so good that I dont need to work on any of my slow speed skills, let alone emergency braking or swerving. I enjoy trips to the bar with my other sleevless buddies, hell, a few drinks makes me relax!
My loud pipes were here first, so deal with it. You should have heard them anyway, That is why I dont ever think about not putting myself in the position where you could possibly hit me. There are more cars than bikers, so its your responsibility to watch out for me, and I will ride wherever, and however I want to. Its all your fault.
I'm just a biker.

Its OK for them to believe loud pipes help. I just wish they wouldn't force me to believe it.
Fact is though, gear or no gear, Harley or sport bike, we get screwed by morons that don't see us ALL THE TIME and its OK because we are just bikers. We are not normal people and we knew we would be eventually killed riding such dangerous machines so its our own fault.

Oh, no argument about that -- it's why I was ready -- still, if you act like a jackass, your ability to call others on it is diminished, IMO.

Well, there is truth to that. It's not so much that everyone are morons, it's more due to the human brain, and how little people actually see. People need to stop blaming *cagers*, and start riding in a way to be seen, and be very defensive. I know adding extra lights to your Harley might make it look less cool, but it might save your life
Sure, there are a lot of inattentive drivers out there, but even those that are not distracted are less likely to see a motorcycle. It's up to us to make sure we are seen, and always assume we are not.

Why would you complain about not being seen, then have a bike and gear that are all black?????
Or are they depending on their bald Caucasian head to be the "visual beacon"?

That's because they dress and pretend to be social misfits and hooligans. It is not surprising when attention whores get attention.
They should stop riding since "everyone is out to get them."
