A friend is looking to buy a Triumph Explorer, he's located in the Upper Peninsula, so anywhere in the MI. WI. MN. IL. vicinity. Anyone have a great dealer? Thanks.

Yep, Team Triumph in Janesville, Wisconsin.  I would have suggested Sharer in Madison, but they no longer carry new bikes Sad

Triumph Detroit.  Hands down my favorite experiences with any dealer.

PS:  they're not actually IN Detroit, but north by about 20 miles.

Team Triumph in WI. I wouldn't set foot in either Triumph dealership in MI... That's my opinion. Cheers

Yep, they're all gone Sad  I still take my ape there for service, but they don't have anything new.  Same guys in the shop though.  They've always treated me well and charged a fair rate, so I'll continue to give them my money.

Shambeau in Two Rivers, WI?

I've not data whatsoever, but it's a whole lot closer to the UP than Janesville (who are aces, btw).

Thanks for the help, seems he didn't like Shambeau's when he got his 1050 Tiger. And the dealer he got that from, Mikes in Oshkosh? Doesn't sell Triumphs anymore.

Just tried Shambeau's link -- seems your buddy wasn't alone.

Triumph went through a night of the long knives a while back -- they shed a bunch of dealers, and are upping the ante on showroom stuff (a la HD) on the remainder. I hope this strengthens the brand here . . . .

I can second Team Triumph in Janesville.  I have a local dealer I've used for a few things, like R/R recall on my D675.

I brought my Sprint to Team Triumph because they were the only dealer that would put the heat kit in my bike despite the 'expiration' of the courtesy recall...so when I brought it to them for the heat kit, I had them do the 12k service and flush the coolant, etc.

They were top notch, explained it to me well, fair prices, and gave me a new D675 to ride for the 3 hours the bike was in the shop.  Plus I got to take a Sprint GT on a 5 minute jaunt when no one had ridden them yet.

A really nice guy from STN on an FJR with his wife on the back took me out on an excellent ride through the local roads to New Glarus.  I need to find that guy and give him a hello.

Anyway, you will have a hard time turning up any negatives about Team Triumph beyond their location (too far for my tastes...but not if they keep giving me loaners!!!)

I agree with the above. Haven't bought anything from them yet, but we have talked a lot, everyone there seems involved.
