on the highway today, two times within five miles a car suddenly merged into my lane. both times i had to take evasive action.

must be the motorcycle effect - i had my dirt bike in the back of my truck.  EEK!

It happens to me all the time. I'm usually wearing a Ducati Mechanica cap.

I had more close calls in my metallic red F-150 extended cab than I ever have on the bike or driving the Z4.

As mxvet stated, morons is everywhere

Happens more in my Tacoma than on the RT.

The Tacos DRLs are the inboard amber marker lights which could give the illusion the vehicle is farther away than it actually is - I often turn the actual low-beam headlights on in some daytime lighting conditions to hopefully negate that.

The RTs low-beam headlights are pretty high up and fairly bright to begin with, plus I ride even more defensively - not that I don't drive defensively but when I'm on the bike I'm uber paranoid.

I really disliked those (plus back when I learned to drive it was illegal to drive with parking lights on) so I put em on a switch and leave them off.

and yeah, no matter the size of the truck, you best look out for yourself.
