Or at least the jacket...

How many people wear H-D gear that don't actually, you know, own a Harley?

--------

While looking for information on that WWII LST web site I'm working on, I stumbled across this photo:

They are photos of the LST 325 which was converted into a floating museum in Indiana, which actually moves under it's own power:
http://www.lstmemorial.org

She'll be in Pittsburgh this August, I'm trying to talk the wife into a road trip.

Isn't this the one that the former crew stole from the Greeks in '01?

No, he's the real thing -- a Ducati freak. For his wedding, he had a full size Ducati wedding cake made with working lights, exhaust, etc. It was made by the guy who does that Ace of Cakes reality show and will be one of their upcoming episodes (unless it's already aired). And Parsons paid him by giving him a real Ducati Monster along with riding gear.  Here's the cake (yes, that's a cake -- or, at least, a lot of it is):

That and the same...  I wasn't aware that it was stolen back...

According to the site, the ship was in shambles when the volunteers got it.

I think it's just awesome that the ship is a mobile museum, gives many people who are unable to travel to Indiana to go see it, including field trips for school kids.  In the past few years, she's been to Clinton, IA, Hannibal, MO, Peoria, IL, according to the videos that visitors have posted on Youtube (of various qualities).
