Even verbose know-it-alls like me like to shut up and just look at pictures occasionally. How about a motor sports photography thread? Submissions can be photos you have taken or images you have found (please respect copyright and hot linking requests).

The Cannon digital photography forums have a motorsports section. You don't have to be a member to lurk. The Best of 2011 thread is spectacular.

I took this in 1985.  The quality is poor, but after the running of the Springfield Mile we have:

Scotty (3rd), Bubba (1st) and Ricky (2nd)

I lowered the camera and got Parker's steel shoe...

I like Stephan Davison's Irish road racing stuff.  He's got some other sports too, I guess.  Lol  He

Great links everyone.

Thanks for historic pics Daniel. That one of Parker, Shobert and Graham is fantastic. Kings of the sport.

I've got lots of '80s photos in a shoebox back home. Unfortunately, I'm on the road and won't be home for at least 30 days.

In the meantime check out Gold and Goose.

I've always thought that picture of Gardner defined the 500cc era. A picture is worth a thousand surgeries?
