I'm probably not going. We sold our boat in '09, and I'm still in mourning.   Sad

Salt chuk boater that you were, I am still amazed you came out with your desire intact. My 32 foot dream was an endless haul out, zincs and the an equally endless ordeal that salt water inflicts on any object. I came to see, the sea ... see ? ... as acid, and a continual onslaught as such. My resources were thin then but I did sell her.  The maritime called again, but this time a rental out of Campbell River to Desolation Sound solved that one. And the trip restored my belief in so many ways. Boat ownership? No ..not that one. Evar .... bare boat rental ?  YES !!

Never more ... never more.

There was a big boat show at the Javit's at the same time the NY IMS was going on two years ago.

Here you go...

A house is a hole in the ground you pour money into.

A boat is a hole in the water you pour money into.

Jeep = Just empty every pocket

A motorcycle is the down payment for the accessories/mods.

  Lol Lol Lol

Might be up for this--after all this snow stuff, need to spend some time around motorcycle ilk.

Motorcycling made racing bicycles seem like a "reasonable" expensive hobby.  Perhaps owning a boat in Seattle would impart the same perspective?   Lol

We'd want a diving boat.  Or a seadoo.  Those are fun.

I've got the multi day pass, and am likely meeting some boating friends Friday night at the Elysian on 1st. Not sure yet, because I still have a leg brace on from the knee surgery and I'm not allowed to bend it. But I might be up for it. I'll let you know as the day grows near. And yes I have a boat.... I've heard all the jokes, just like I do bike comments from non-riders.  Razz
