I have shoveled the driveway six times since the snow started on Sunday. I haven't driven since Monday because, although the driveway's clear, the road has been covered in ice, slush, and snow since Monday night. The dog won't hang out outside any more. I have to re-nikwax my jacket because there's SO much snow that it melts through.

All this, I don't mind. In fact, I kind of like shoveling - it's a great workout. All the other stuff is really ok because I know it'll pass and in the meantime, I have as much homemade hot cocoa as I can drink.

Until now. 10 minutes ago, our INTERNET CONNECTION WENT DOWN. That is IT. I've had it. Mad2

I guess it's time for a nap!

I'm north of Seattle, and it's been snowing about 6" every day since last Friday, so almost a week now.

My wife's been taking the aptly named Avalanche to work, until they shut the company down yesterday at noon.

Our dog loves the snow and will stay out until I make him come in.

Qualcomm is hiring. Make sure you get at least a 30% raise because 10% will be eaten by Cali state income tax.

And the other 20% will be eaten up by the cost of living in San Diego.

Isn't this much worse than usual? Driving through Roy/Yelm on my way home, that area looks like a whole series of tornadoes went through.

One thing I like about where we live is that we're near a couple of assisted-living places, grocery stores, etc. We were only without power for 8 hours or so.
