Me and my bud are planning on a multi-day vacation centered around mountain biking.  We'd like to stay somewhere within a day drive (maybe slightly longer) from just east of Dallas, TX.

I know there's some decent riding in AR, though I'm not familiar with any of it.  Who's got suggestions?

We'll be planning on camping and living rather spartan.  We're thinking some time in April, and we'd rather not freeze our backsides off.

Take a look up around Calico Rocks, AR.  I know there are some mountain bike trails.  I don't know how technical, but there are many miles of trails.  There are campsites up in the national forest at different elevations.  Some are easy to reach, and some are down some rougher dirt roads.  There are also caverns and Mountain View when you're not riding.
